SpaceX Falcon Heavy Essay Samples

SpaceX Falcon Heavy Essay SamplesSpaceX Falcon Heavy is one of the most anticipated and latest addition to the SpaceX family. This vehicle will bring about a revolutionary change in how we use space and launch vehicles. This revolutionary new vehicle will take humanity closer to Mars. The SpaceX Falcon Heavy will be capable of lifting 70 metric tons into Earth orbit and on its way to Mars. Currently, SpaceX has developed the Block I version of this new heavy lift vehicle. This type of vehicle does not yet have a fully operational first stage, so the Falcon Heavy will use its first stage to maneuver itself and reach orbit. On its way to Mars, it will deploy its second stage and begin re-entry and landing. The SpaceX Texas facility is designing this vehicle. They also provide assistance for the mission control center in Houston with their software and hardware design. The second stage of this vehicle will be designed and built in the United States. For the crewed Falcon Heavy vehicle, th ere will be two people in the cockpit; the first is the pilot and the second is the flight engineer. There will be four seats for the second stage of the vehicle. They have designed a crude version for future launch candidates in the future. This design does not include a second stage. In this unmanned version, the crew will be seated at the front of the spacecraft to allow for easy communication. The third version of the SpaceX Falcon Heavy is planned to be called the Falcon Heavy 2.0. This vehicle will also include two people and will be able to fly up to six missions. This vehicle will fly through the Van Allen radiation belts as part of the ionosphere's protection system. The Utah Facility inUtah has been working on the development of the structure for the Falcon Heavy's first stage. It is a state of the art metal working process that includes welding, stamping, laser cutting, heat treating, metallurgy, cryogenic carbonization, etching, etc. The Falcon Heavy can launch five times p er year, which means there will be plenty of opportunity for testing.SpaceX has learned a lot from the failures of the first stage of the Falcon 9 and they plan to start production of the Falcon 9's first stage very soon. A second opportunity for failure exists but this will be less likely since they will have extensive testing for both the second and third stages. They will also have more expertise than any other manufacturer in the world to help them get the job done. They have been working on the concept of using strap-on boosters on the first stage. This allows them to have increased lift capabilities in the lower atmosphere while still going to orbit. It will also allow for the first stage to land on an ocean platform or the beach after being launched into orbit.
